The Gowrie (Qld) Inc is a member of Gowrie Australia, a national group that advocates for quality children's services and works collaboratively on professionals support activities, such as training and resource development for children's services.

Library membership

All students enrolled with The Gowrie (Qld) Inc. will have automatic membership of the John Bostock Resource Collection - a library of Australian and international early childhood books, videos, journals and magazines.

Mutual Recognition

The Gowrie (Qld) Inc. recognises children's services units of competency from other Registered Training Organisations, enabling easy transfer to study with The Gowrie (Qld). In addition, students who have gained units of competency in children's services with the Gowrie (Qld) will have these recognised by other Registered Training Organisations.

Recognition of Current Competency

Experienced child care workers who believe they already possess competencies within the Certificate III in Children's Services or Diploma of Children's Services can apply for recognition of these through the Gowrie (Qld) Inc. Applicants will be guided on the suitability of evidence to demonstrate their current competency.

Easy Payment Arrangements

There is a one off enrolment fee that covers the administration of paper work for your course. Fees can be paid prior to beginning each competency or a whole course fee can be paid at enrolment.

Student Related Payments

Students studying the Certificate III or Diploma full-time with The Gowrie (Qld) Inc. are eligible to apply for student related payments from Centrelink. These payments include Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY and Pensioner Education Supplement.
